When it comes to building online businesses, blogging in my opinion might be one of the best options to go with. Enter this Elite Blog Academy review in which I’ll cover if it can help you do just that.
The short answer to that is yes, but that doesn’t automatically make me rate Elite Blog Academy (EBA) as the top choice for such goals.
In fact, in this review, I’ll be showing a few other options that aren’t just cheaper, but in my opinion are either slightly or much better for building profitable blogs than EBA.
4 disclaimers about this Elite Blog Academy review:
1) First and foremost, I did not buy it.
2) This is because it’s very expensive and also because I happen to be a blogger myself who understands and actually builds profitable blogs (I have several and many years experience).
3) I do recommend EBA, but I think you may find equal or greater value (and for less) in other alternatives (which I will show).
4) I am only affiliated with one of those alternatives. It’s called Wealthy Affiliate and yes, I think it’s the top choice. One of the reasons why is because it’s free to try.
A summary and short review of Elite Blog Academy (EBA):
Who created Elite Blog Academy?
Ruth Soukup.
How much does Elite Blog Academy cost?
First, understand that EBA only opens it’s doors once every 3 months (I don’t know if it’s one day or a few). But once it does, you have 3 options:
- $297 a month.
- $797 for 3 months.
- $2997 for a 1 year membership.
Is Elite Blog Academy a scam?
Absolutely not. It is legitimate.
What does Elite Blog Academy teach?
How to create profitable blogs, collect email lists off them, and create products to sell to the list. Additionally, training is provided on other forms of monetizing the blog and email list such as affiliate marketing.
Essentially, you learn directly from the strategies Ruth uses in her own blogging business to make it profitable and she also offers coaching and personal support to private members. Additionally, you also get to participate in contests if your blog earns enough money to join a Mastermind group which I assume is hosted by Ruth.
Once you get into the program, you can get exclusive help to build your blog, whether it be completely new or if you’re someone with an existing blog who needs help monetizing it. See the official Elite Blog Academy here to learn more.
My rating for Elite Blog Academy: 3 out of 5 stars
Do I recommend it? Somewhat.
Everything that I’ve read on it through numerous member reviews, the program itself and personally knowing the strategies work, I can tell you that this program can help you make your own profitable blog.
The thing however is that:
- The pretty high price.
- As well as a few things I read from other reviews (which I’ll share).
- Plus the closed doors policy.
- And finally there being numerous, legit alternatives which will also teach you about blogging success.
All make it tough to get behind fully recommending EBA. Is it worth it? Sure. But keep in mind you have other options, and I would argue you can get more out of them.
Alternatives? Yes.
I’ll be explaining them shortly in more detail, but here is a list:
- Benjis Dad Blogging course.
- Blogging Fast Lane.
- Passive Income Geek.
- Affilorama.
And finally, my top choice:
Elite Blog Academy review: Understanding how it works
The basic idea was explained above, but ultimately, you are making a blog in something you are interested in, getting a lot of traffic to it through the training Ruth provides you with, and then funneling those visitors to an email list to keep them as potential customers for selling stuff to them.
A big part of Ruth’s program is about product creation and selling that to your list. In my line of work, I typically mix my blogging efforts with affiliate marketing work because I’m a bit lazy when it comes to product creation, but to give credit where it’s due, Ruth’s training does talk about that too, and gives people options.
Overall, there are 4 modules of training with 3 major lessons in each module covered.
Long story short, this is a pretty complete program (with help included) to assist people in building up successful blogs like I said before. And as I said before, if there weren’t any other alternatives, I would suggest waiting for this programs doors to open before joining it (which you can certainly do if you want still), but I just strongly believe the alternatives I already listed might be better to take advantage of.
Before I explain that, let me share some credit here:
One of the most comprehensive and best reviews of Elite Blog Academy can be found here and it’s where a lot of “filling in the blanks” for me happened.
In fact, I have an older site where I already reviewed EBA years ago, but it has updated since and that review covers a lot of awesome details I recommend you read if you’re serious about joining the program. I also recommend you join through the affiliate link in that review so the author gets credit.

Other questions regarding the Elite Blog Academy:
Is Elite Blog Academy legit?
Yes Elite Blog Academy is an excellent blogging course to learn from, but I also think that it’s very expensive and there are other similar programs for less worth more.
How much is Elite Blog Academy?
Pricing for Elite Blog Academy starts at $297 a month but there is a yearly membership (recurring) of $2997.
Conclusions: Don’t want to wait for Elite Blog Academy to open it’s doors? Try these 6 alternatives:
What I want to do is touch base again with the programs I listed above as alternatives but give you more details on how they work. In short, they are all blog training programs, but their details and prices might be a bit more fitting for you (especially if you’re reading this EBA right now when the doors are closed):
1) Elite Blogging Pro (by Benjis Dad):
The owner of this program is Chris, who I happen to know personally and besides being a great guy, he offers an awesome blog training program called Elite Blogging Pro which is $1,497 for 1 year, which is already cheaper than EBA.
Chris follows much of the same exact guidelines I follow for blogging and I can tell you his stuff works from literal personal experience and there are no closed doors in this program. You can get it anytime.
2) Blogging Fast Lane:
This is a blogging program much more befitting to travelers who wish to build a travel blog. It’s available for around $700 and it’s owners, who are a couple help you build a travel blog (or any niche blog basically). Learn more about Blogging Fast Lane here.
3) Passive Income Geek:
Another awesome blogging program. It’s actually cheaper than the above options, but also offers great training on the same subject. I am recommending this program to you (I do not promote it). Learn more about Passive Income Geek here.
4) Affilorama:
Affilorama might be the closest training you’ll find to what Elite Blog Academy teaches you. It helps you make blogs too, teaches you how to collect email lists and do affiliate marketing there. Their packages vary, but some are cheap and others are close to $1,000 (no annual membership though). Learn more about Affilorama here.
5) Wealthy Affiliate (my pick):
Even though I do promote this program, I’m objectively telling you this right now:
No other program offers more training on blogging (for such a low price) than Wealthy Affiliate. Originally, I learned my material on this subject there and literally still use that training to this day to build up blogs like this and others.
You learn to build up blogs on niches you love and get training, tools and help (included) to do this along the way. Additionally, I also recommend this program for the following reasons:
- It’s free to try (you get free training to test drive this).
- The full blogging membership (Premium) is only $49 a month (great option compared to the others).
- You get my help (a literal expert at blogging).
If you find that to be appealing, I’d give Wealthy Affiliate a shot, but if me promoting it (it doesn’t cost anything extra) turns you off, then try one of the other programs I listed above (if of course waiting on EBA’s doors to open isn’t for you).
